Boracay Accomodation & Airport Transfer

We will be arriving on October 13 at 12:40AM in Kalibo Aklan. And we'll be staying at Balikbayan Inn till 7:30AM.

I can't find any website for Balikbayan Inn, but hopefully it's a nice place for a 800 pesos - for approximately 7hours. Our contact would be Ms. Lyn of Balikbayan Inn Kalibo (+639194096703). She will pick us up at the Kalibo Airport and then we will take us back to the airport for the Caticlan transfer.

We should be back at the airport around 7:30AM. Where we will ride the Southwest Tour Bus going to Caticlan. I was told by my friend that there will be a tour escort with a placard with my name on it. The person will assists us to the bus to register and claim boarding pass. He will accompany us to the resort.

At the Caticlan Jetty Port, we will be charged with terminal fee of P50 and Environmental fee of P75. A total of P125 per person.

Travel time from Kalibo to Boracay is approximately 1.5hrs - 2 hours. ( I hope)

We'll be staying at Bamboo Beach resort. Our friends are checked-in at La Carmela de Boracay. However, when we check the resort there's no more available rooms for us. Anyway, it's just a short distance from their resort. Our contact for the Bamboo Beach Resort, Boracay Island would be Mr. Nick (+639185004969).

Map of La Carmela Boracay and Bamboo Beach Resort

We paid P2650 per person. This includes accomodation at Bamboo Beach Resort for 3days/2nights, with Daily breakfast and Airport transfers. I hope it's a nice, clean place and really few steps away from our friend's place.

A total of P6100 for accomodation, airport transfers and breakfast plus P250 (environmental and terminal fee). Adding up the P4344 plane ticket we already shelled out 10k.

And still leaves us with the expenses for Lunch, dinner, drinks, water activities.

Despite having an expensive trip, I'm still excited. :-)

Looking forward

I've been looking forward for our vacation trips this September and October. I already filed my vacation leaves.

Starting off ...

When: September 3-7, 2011 (5Days/4Nights)
Where: Bohol
What: My 29th birthday celebration with John

Here's our already planned itinerary:
Day 1 - enjoying the hotel/beach
Day 2 - DANAO Extreme Adventure
Day 3 - Countryside Tour
Day 4 - SeaSide Tour
Day 5 - Souvenir shopping

Next ...

When: October 13-15, 2011 (3Days/2Nights)
Where: Boracay
What: Trip with Emerson friends

Actually we would be arriving at Kalibo at October 13 (12:40AM). But there won't be any trips going to Caticlan at that time. So I asked a friend to have us booked at a nearby inn. Then in the morning we would be travelling to Caticlan then boracay.

No itinerary yet, but I guess it would be beach bumming, island hopping, reef walking, parasailing (if we can afford it) and bar hopping.

Still 3 months from now, so I need to exercise for my boracay body. ;)

And finally ...

When: Oct 28-31, 2011 (4Days/2Nights)
Where: Singapore
What: Trip with College Friends

We will be staying with our other college friends that are now residing in Singapore. We will visit the Universal Studios, Sentosa, Singapore Zoo, Marina Bay Sands, etc. We haven't finalized our itinerary yet but we'll get to that.

Now that leaves me with 3Vacation Leaves to spare. :(

It looks like I'll be at the office during Christmas and New year. Since I'll use 2 leaves for John's bday and 1 leave for the next Singles retreat. I just hope there would be a lot of holidays to be declared. (goodluck!)

Emerson bday outing

~ Photo op ~

I joined the emerson friends for their yearly birthday summer outing. It was held last May 21-22 at Pansol, Laguna. Our reservation is for 14000 from 8pm-8pm. We arrived around 9pm due to heavy traffic and late departure. We still had to the groceries.

Stopover at SLEX Starbucks :)
Some are singing, others cooking, while we just eat drink and relax.

Around 2 in the morning the electricity was cut off so all of us just dip into the pool. And the fun goes on.
It was really a bad service because there's no water available. We all slept feeling sticky and tired.
In the morning, we heard that they didn't open the tank but there's water in it. Talk about having a caretaker with no care at all.

We were really disappointed so we just plan to leave early and not pay the whole price. And then we were advised to leave at 4 since a new batch will occupy the place. Huwat?! We are reserved till 8 and they manage to find a new occupants?

So we just left and meet at Starbucks SLEX. Then off we went home.

Sis' bday @ Pundaquit, Zambales

We went to Pundaquit last May11-12 to celebrate my Sister's 23rd birthday. Some of our relatives was able to join us. 15 people off to Zambales :)

The shore has a very fine sand. However, the water tends to go deep right away.

We climbed the mountain despite the warning "Bawal umakyat dito". It's kind of hard with me wearing just a slippers. But the view is great and worth it.

Tagaytay Grand Villa

We had our outing last May 7-8 @ Tagaytay. Original plan was to look for a private pool at Pansol, but fear of not finding a good place, we did a last minute research and found this in Tagaytay. This cost 12k good for 10pax. Lucky for us since there are no other guest occupying the place. It's not that good because the place feels creepy. The kitchen is dark and the walls needs repainting. The billiard pool is old. The water is cold.

I think this is the biggest planning ever. We are really excited for this.
We had a FB event page so we could discuss everything.
We even have our checklist for the things to bring/menu for the day...

Call time is at 5:30 but we left 6:30 since we are still waiting for some late comers.
The Ong family encountered problem with their car so they just decided to follow and arrived after lunch.

While we are getting ready to leave

The garage

The room, we were assigned 2 rooms

Enjoying the coldness of the water & doing jumpshots

We spend our time, eating, cooking, singing, drinking and laughing.

Dinner

(Parang lahat ng pic babyjan nagbibigay ng alak... hehe)

Truly a place is as good as the people in it.

Till next time

Acuatico

John and I went to Acuatico Beach Resort in Batangas last April 9-10. We had the reservation for the infinity pool as early as January. I think it costs us 9k+ (inclusive of the room good for 2pax(6.5k), buffet dinner & buffet lunch 2k). Plus add the gas and toll which is very expensive this days.

We left Manila around 6 in the morning and arrive at the place almost 11am. We had our stop over at SLEX jollibee. It took us 4 hours drive because of the rain, traffic and unfamiliar roads. The map from the site is a good one. Just follow it and it would point you the shortest possible route.

Upon arriving at the Acuatico resort, we were greeted with a welcome drinks of Gulaman. I really love Gulaman and theirs is just perfect.

Check-in time would still be at 1pm so we just roam around the resort.
I took a picture of their very scenic infinity pool, shorelines, houses and fountains.
This is what separates the Acuatico resort from the other resort in Laiya.

We played at their recreation room.

And at 12nn we ate lunch which costs us P525.

Despite the start of summer, the weather is kinda sad and gloomy. Looks like it will rain so hard. Good thing, we are ready with animes/movies/series just in case we will stay all day long in our room. The receptionist really took her time to look for me at exactly 1pm so she could show us our room. The room is kinda small especially the rest room but its clean and their bed is so comfortable. I always forgot that resorts such as these have toiletries available. Oh well, just in case I'm ready with my own toiletries.

The shore of Acuatico Resort is clean and there are only few people who swims. But if you look to your left or right it's a bit crowded with people from Sabangan and Blue Coral resorts. The water is very cold due to the weather. I save up from using my sunblock. It's also deep even its low tide.

We just spend time in the pool doing underwater shots which I can't perform so well.

At night, we had our disagreement and almost missed a very sumptuous dinner. We cried, prayed, kiss and makeup then went to dinner.

We ordered from the floating bar cocktail drinks -- Kamikaze and Daiquiri.

Slept and woke up at around 7 for breakfast.

After breakfast, we went for a pedal boat ride and then do underwater shots again in the pool.

Then I prepare our things and off we go home.

Lucena, Quezon

We went to Lucena to accompany A-ma last Nov 20-21. We went swimming at Graceland resort, then ate at Palaisdaan for dinner at only P1,200 (6adults and 4kids).

I got no pics since I'm shy hahaha! Well, I'm sure I'll visit the place again next time.
