HELLO BOHOL (Day 1)

I've been very busy lately so I was not able to blog about my Bohol experience. And it's been 1 month since our Bohol trip.

For our food -- check out my Food blog

Good thing John learned that Domestic Airport is different from the Terminal 3 Airport. For International flights it's in Terminal 1, PAL flights in Terminal 2, Other Domestic Flights (Terminal 3) and the small aircraft company Domestic Flights (Domestic Airport).

For Zest Air it's in Domestic Airport. Food is really expensive inside the airport, but we had no choice.

Upon arrival, we ask Kuya Tatsky to pick us up. Their airport transfer rate is P500, quite expensive for 20-30 minutes travel.
Welcome to Tagbilaran

Tagbilaran

We stayed at Dumaluan hotel. I like the restroom for the Deluxe room since it's very spacious and it has an LCD TV which entertain us for the day.

It's very low tide, so we just opt to walk by the shore and just swim at their pool.

Night Swim

After the swim had dinner and I fell in love with Grilled Blue Marlin. Super fresh and yummy!

The PLUNGE Experience

We had this experience last Sep 4, 2011 at DANAO Extreme Adventure.

It was really a great experience (terrifying at first) but months of internalizing has prepared me for it. :)

I floated thru the air and I forgot to scream, I really cant scream as oppose to John who scream his heart out. ^-^

Plunge: a canyon swing adventure attraction mounted over a 200 meter high and 300 meter wide gorge. A person would have to do a 45 meters free fall before being launched on a pendulum swing measuring to a hundred meter diameter. Cable has a maximum working load of 5 tons. Now longer (70 meters) more fear some.

One has to literally plunge to an open air for about two seconds, the plunger will all be defenseless, feel nothing and left all alone.

This extreme adventure cost P700/pax. Hope the video will play well.

isang tulog na lang

One more night and we will be in Bohol. Weeee! I'm so excited for the plunge ^-^

Things to bring:
1) Money
2) Flight Itinerary --> Our Zest Air P500 promo round trip ticket
3) Camera, Netbook, Ebook reader, charger, Cellphone
4) Clothes for 5D/4N--> Shorts, shirts, pantulog, undies, towel
Swim gear --> our own snorkels, Rash guard, swim suit, cover-up / malong
5) Toiletries --> Shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, lotion, cologne, deodorant, sunblock
6) Medicine --> Biogesic, Nasatapp, Alcohol, cotton, Betadine
7) Snacks --> Chips, chocolates, Cookies (will buy later)

I had this AquaZorb towel which absorbs and dries faster (as they say). I hope i'll get my money's worth.

Hopefully, I won't have a hard time preparing all of them because I tend to change my mind with my clothes. So... Goodluck!

I pray there will be good weather and my injured foot will be healed miraculously.

John's Boracay Team Building

John's company (ShipServ) had their team building last April 28-30 at Boracay and stayed at La Carmela de Boracay resort. Air fare, room accomodation and food are covered by the company.

He gave me this Malong for pasalubong. Anyways, I'll be seeing Boracay's beauty on October :)

Bohol Accomodation

My friend's travel agency called Dumaluan Resort and was told that all standard rooms are booked since April 2011. However, according to my Dumaluan Resort contact (Ate Kathy - 09217299549) we were booked for Deluxe on the first day and Standard rooms on the following days. I made the reservation last June 2011. I'm getting anxious and not quite sure if we are indeed have a reservation for the room. And so I decided to send out an email to dumaluanbeach@yahoo.com / resort@dumaluanbeach.com , and was indeed have a reservation. We just need to deposit 50% before August 19 to confirm our reservation.

Deluxe Room for the 1st night

Standard room for succeeding nights ^-^

We just wanted a Standard room since it's cheaper and we would be touring outside most of the time. And we plan to leave early so there's no time for breakfast.

Here's the contact for the Dumaluan Beach Resort in Panglao:

Singapore Cheap Accomodation

It looks like we cannot all stay in our friend's place by October. They could only adopt 2person and I guess 2 person on the other house as well or more. We are a group of 7 adults and 1 child. So instead of staying with our friends. We will just rent a dormitory type or a private room. Hopefully it would all be cheap. I'm now researching for possible inn, hostel.

Requirements should be:
- easily accessible in Singapore train stations
- clean
- safe or looks safe
- with private restroom and shower
- Airconditioned

Optional:
- with Wifi
- with hot shower

I'm looking for a backpackers hotel that allow children. Hopefully I could find one soon.

Boracay Accomodation & Airport Transfer

We will be arriving on October 13 at 12:40AM in Kalibo Aklan. And we'll be staying at Balikbayan Inn till 7:30AM.

I can't find any website for Balikbayan Inn, but hopefully it's a nice place for a 800 pesos - for approximately 7hours. Our contact would be Ms. Lyn of Balikbayan Inn Kalibo (+639194096703). She will pick us up at the Kalibo Airport and then we will take us back to the airport for the Caticlan transfer.

We should be back at the airport around 7:30AM. Where we will ride the Southwest Tour Bus going to Caticlan. I was told by my friend that there will be a tour escort with a placard with my name on it. The person will assists us to the bus to register and claim boarding pass. He will accompany us to the resort.

At the Caticlan Jetty Port, we will be charged with terminal fee of P50 and Environmental fee of P75. A total of P125 per person.

Travel time from Kalibo to Boracay is approximately 1.5hrs - 2 hours. ( I hope)

We'll be staying at Bamboo Beach resort. Our friends are checked-in at La Carmela de Boracay. However, when we check the resort there's no more available rooms for us. Anyway, it's just a short distance from their resort. Our contact for the Bamboo Beach Resort, Boracay Island would be Mr. Nick (+639185004969).

Map of La Carmela Boracay and Bamboo Beach Resort

We paid P2650 per person. This includes accomodation at Bamboo Beach Resort for 3days/2nights, with Daily breakfast and Airport transfers. I hope it's a nice, clean place and really few steps away from our friend's place.

A total of P6100 for accomodation, airport transfers and breakfast plus P250 (environmental and terminal fee). Adding up the P4344 plane ticket we already shelled out 10k.

And still leaves us with the expenses for Lunch, dinner, drinks, water activities.

Despite having an expensive trip, I'm still excited. :-)
